    What can I say?
First of all I would like to thank IWC and my dealer for working hard to get me the case before Christmas.
I would also like to thank Michael for his weighty influence in speeding up delivery by about 6 months.
And most importantly, I would like to thank all the forum members, because there is no doubt that without this great community supporting each other I would not have purchased this case or indeed grown my IWC collection as much.

As for the case, well, quite simply, it's unbelievable.
I went to my AD's house this morning to pick it up and we opened it there and then for the first time.
It was like being lifted into the air by a dum dum bullet. It just hits you. The case itself with its Mississippi alligator skin is amazing. It's huge. And when you open it, the sheer amount of platinum is the first thing that gets you.
Each watch on it's own is just perfect, but as a collection it is beyond words.
The two that stand out (and maybe just because we haven't seen many of them on the forum) are the pilot and the aquatimer.
The pilot is sheer beauty which amazes me because it doesn't look too good in photos. The aquatimer is just shiny brilliance.
My photos don't do either the case or the watch justice as I have rushed to get it posted. I promise I will take more today and get them up tonight.

This morning has been the highlight of my year so far and without a doubt the pinnacle of my watch collecting career. You have no idea what this means to me and i would love to share them with you all in person.
I apologise for this maybe over emotional post. I just can't help it.
Thanks to all you guys once again. I wouldn't have done it without you.
    I'm off to enjoy them.
    Stephen

    This is absolutely magnificent

The whole VC collection grew onto me, and to see it as a total collection is indeed beyond words. Congratulations is too flat a word in this case. I guess that admiring the whole in silence is what you will be doing the next few days and weeks. There is so much to admire!

Just being curious: are you going to wear them? I can imagine that there could be some reluctancy with this kind of collection, you wanting them to be preserved in a pristine condition as much as possible.

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

    Kind regards,
    Paul, wearing Saint Exupéry Chrono

    i will definitely wear them.

    but only on special occassions.
my insurance only allows 1 to be out of the safe at a time and only 1 watch for 1 day per month. so i'm fairly restricted. but i will wind them every day and that's probably enough.

Stephen, I know just how you feel, well...

almost. I saw one of these at a dealer and it is simply overwhelming. I particularly like the lighter dials on the Port, Portofino , Ingy and Aquatimer . And the added platinum weight is awesome.
I know you will enjoy each and every watch. You will no doubt be opening and closing that safe a whole lot.

    Breathtaking!

What a wonderful moment it must be to open that case! It's also good to hear that you will be wearing them (gently I presume).

Thanks for sharing this moment with us.

Enjoy and wear them in the best of health!

    Kind regards,
