Was just relaxing on the patio in the woods here - and was appreciating the lines and features of this simple watch. The Ref 3227, Collector's Forum Inge, #37/100 with the dull grey dial (not sure why it looks blue in this photo - perhaps the sweater and lighting messed up the iphone?).

I like how the beveled finishes of the links and the integrated bracelet curve into this perfect shape....so F---ing perfect.

Richard, this one is THE CLASSIC Ingenieur of the new generation. The design has so little and has it all!

An important watch, Richard. The 3227 marked the return of the Ingenieur family after a long absence and it had a new in-house movement. The special Ardoise dial does look different as the sweater changes.

A great classic revisited - indeed perfect.
Btw - the blue hue is caused by the non-reflective coating.

I never had the pleasure to own a 3227 but who knows...and yes,I absolutely second what you write about the bracelet, they're solid steel beautifully shaped...

    Hello there,

Of course you're right! Your piece is simply stunning. The feeling like "what more do you need"...
I have been thinking more than once about that offer from 2005...

    Well, well.
The nearest I can come to yours is my one and only Ingenieur, the ME.

Your piece is surely more wearable that this "Monster".
(That said, yes, I am happy with it, but it surely is heavy!)

    All best
    Bent
