A traveller's watch (an omission from the line up)
Based on a Cal 89360, with a GMT hand - or even better, a secondary time zone dial. The UTC doesn't work for me. There should be lots of lume and in a sensible steel case (Pilot's maybe and please note that gold is too easily scratched on overnight flights). The dial should have some degree of elegance. If IWC can do that, I will sell my Jaeger leCoultre Reverso which is the best travel watch on the market.
Thoughts about 2009: what would you like to see?
I'd like to see display backs removed from all models. I know it's perverse, but they really put me off a watch. I've almost bought a 5001-07 a couple of times but the display back made me decide against it.
Regards,
HG.
I would say:
A new piece of pilot's family. Something simply but striking!!
really?
that's one of the things that attracts me to a watch.
it's a good thing we're all different.

Steel Port. auto with ref 371401 dial lay out
White dial, gold numbers and gold and steel blue hands would be fanatastic for the steel port uguese auto, as well as the return of a small portugueser (38mm) with inhouse movement
Thoughts about 2009: what would you like to see?
BP with (BC) Boron carbide case.
VC Portuguese..
in red or white gold.
And absolutely crazy: I would spend a fortune for a VC Portuguese with the old 5 bridges 98 caliber in any sort of gold and with the present design of the dial of the SS VC Portuguese. Eventiually as a limited edition?
Mark XVII
With a return to the proper "Mark" heritage: square-end hour hand, central seconds, no date.
Pure, simple, functional form.
what???why?

Since you have introduced the VC versions, maybe you should try and make some futuristic version showing what IWC watches could look like in 140 years.
I would seriously like to see:
- a Portuguese World Timer with inhouse movement
- the inhouse chrono movement from the Da Vinci line go into other chrono models
- new dial colour combinations (bronze, silver)
- cheaper tourbillion watches :-) (just dreaming)
just my thoughts

An ardoise VC Ingenieur would be sublime!
VC Portugieser with power reserve....
....moon phase, blue hands, and silvered dial. Layout would be similar to Breguet's with same features but it would unmistakably be a Portugieser.
Also on the wish list:
- blue or ardoise dialed VC Ingenieur
- Flieger with new chrono movement
He does not have to wish....
he already knows but cannot say.
Totally disagree. Open caseback is a plus for me.

i'd LOVE to see 3 watches in 46mm
a re-issue of the BP 1940.
Portuguese 7 day PR White or Black Dial
an Aquatimer Ardoise Blue or Light Brown Dial
i'm not asking for much. :0)
