Thoughts about 2009: what would you like to see?

    1. The new Aquatimers (which i believe are on the way)
    2. 40 or 42 mm Mark XVI Classic in a ceramic case

    portofino size boost and...

i would like to see an increase in the portofino sizes.
i love the look of the portofinos range, very understated but just too small.i would like to see an option at 44mm.
i would also like to see big pilots in SS with a white or silver dial with blue hands and a blue strap.
i know i'm not asking for much.

    VC Ingenieur with steel bracelet

Old style, new technics and quality.

We've seen anything one can imagine. It's really hard to tell the next steps of innovation. I'm more and more pleased with the innovative ideas coming from Schaffhausen every year.

One more thing I could imagine would be a Portuguese chrono with the new chrono movement from the DaVinci or a St. Exupery Big Pilot's watch and a Laureus Ingenieur.

    My bet too. Hopefully>

we will see a new Deep One or even better the Deep Minute (combi of depth meter and split minute). If that one comes available, I know who will be the first buyer. ;-)

Collectors' Forum edition, of course with an Ardoise dial to keep it "in line" with the Ingenieur !

What I would like to see (and buy?) in 2009

So many entries are already there in such a short time. I saw some propositions that I would like to see too.

    1. Portuguese Chrono with 89360 calibre, red gold with black dial. For me?
    2. Some Perpetual Calendar with Chrono, based on 89360 calibre.
    3. VC Portuguese, red gold with black dial. For me?
    4. Titanium Big Pilot with Perpetual Calendar and power reserve. Black dial, or Laureus blue radiating dial. For me?
    5. Titanium, or steel travellers watch with date and day, UTC and alarm. Why not hand wound? Otherwise with power reserve. This could come as a Pilot's watch or Ingenieur. This might be a 2012 watch, for the Olympic Games? I guess it would need that time to be developed if you want an in-house movement. Ruggedised, yet decent looking.

    Kind regards,
Paul, wearing the dream to be here, the VC Portuguese

    St Ex BP sounds interesting..

I would love to see that, with lume all over just like the current St Ex models.

    Kind regards,

    VC Ardoises

I second the suggestion of the White gold/Ardoises Dials on the new Vintage line or they could go with rose gold. I would also like to see a slightly smaller Big Pilot as well. And more in-house movements

I would love to see …

a ceramic cased pilot with a caliber 80111 and dial and hands reminiscent of the first ceramic chrono, the one with the Kohlsman type window for the date (the ref 3786).

A vintage style Ingenieur with a real, honest to God antimagnetic screen would be nice, too. :-)

    A steel portuguese perpetual calendar

would be nice. I'm not the person for gold or platinum and I still wonder why there isn't a steel PPC in the collection. You have to go back to the GST series to find one.

Thoughts about 2009: what would you like to see?

Some, or even one or two, mid size models that can show the style and character of IWC without pandering to the obsession of pocket watch size wrist watches. Yes, I know this is the current style but surely IWC is beyond style over function?

Like others have said, a Deep Two. Also,

my most daring thought: a revival of an Ingenieur Pocket Watch.
Or, pocket watch with digital display, ala Pallweber.
