Like others have said, a Deep Two. Also,
my most daring thought: a revival of an Ingenieur Pocket Watch.
Or, pocket watch with digital display, ala Pallweber.

Why no steel Portuguese Perpetual Calendar?
I think I know the answer to that question. It has to do with capacity. The amount of Perpetual Calendar calibres IWC can make they can all sell, even if they give the watches a gold or platinum case. So why sell cheap if you can sell expensive? There is one exception though, but it is not a Portuguese. There is the Limited Edition (3.000) Kurt Klaus Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar in steel.
Kind Regards,
Paul, wearing VC Portuguese
Thoughts about 2009: what would you like to see?
In 2009 I'd like to see a portuguese power reserve on my wrist. Does that count? Maybe a slightly more up to date looking aquatimer.
I think a double moon would be great
, with grey moon and blue sky. But it will demand more work to produce this new one. A single moon version will be very welcome too, and could be as on the platinum version or on the VC Portofino(grey moon with a blue sky).
I think such a watch would be terrific and a top-seller too.
Regards,
Jean
PS BTW, your photographs are very good and I enjoy them a lot each time.
55mm B-Uhr Replica Perhaps Shrunk to 48MM
I wouldn't mind a 55mm replica but that gets shot down by everyone every year so how about a 48mm B-Uhr replica - still way too big but still usable compared to the 55mm actual size. Also, how about a stainless BP perpetual?
That's a GREAT IDEA.
Joseph - They made 50 of these - last year.
There was a limited edition of 50 DaVinci Perpetuals in White Gold done for the Boutiques... Nad posted several photos (including this one) from a trip to the Boutique in Geneva....

A new Perpetual Calendar based on Cal 89000...
It would be cool to see a new Perpetual with Chronograph based on the Cal 89000 family introduced for the DaVinci chrono Last year.
Tough year ahead, but still would love
to see a BP perpetual in steel/titanium, re-birth of pallweber on wrist :) cheers

Gee MF haven't you any IWC wishes for 2009?
Surely your hopes count as much as everyone elses.
