i'd LOVE to see 3 watches in 46mm
a re-issue of the BP 1940.
Portuguese 7 day PR White or Black Dial
an Aquatimer Ardoise Blue or Light Brown Dial
i'm not asking for much. :0)

I can see MF...
at his desk, reading these post : " mmm 3 guessed, 8 more to go..."
all with a big smile on his face.
A true pilot's watch...
in the tradition of the WWII Big Pilot Watch and Mark 11. Basically like the current BPW in SS, but without the date or power reserve indicators.
I would also welcome a limited edition of 500 of this watch in SS, with a 24 hour dial. I am signing up for #101.
I can too.

Wow, this goes fast! Good to see everybody has some wishes.
Kind regards,
Clemens
PS: I used Excel to do the counting
Wishes and what IWC does are two different things.
nt.
MF secretly wishes for a 24 h dial too ;-) nt.
what???why?
I said it was perverse. I think a display back makes a watch look cheap and gaudy. To my mind there's a hint of the fake about them (I can't really explain that). The 5001s don't have to show off, they're good enough (well, apart from being too big).
I like plain, simple things (Mk XII is the best looking watch I've ever seen). I interestingly, in another recent post MF suggests he wouldn't buy the pocket watch with a plain (unsigned) dial, but would wait for a signed dial. I'm exactly the opposite and I'd snap up the plain dial if I were in the market for the watch (I also remove makers labels from shirts, jackets, briefcases and I've de-badged my car), . If I were a gazillionaire I'd pay IWC whatever they wanted to make me a Mk XII with a plain dial - no writing at all (except the numbers). It'd have to be IWC though, not an aftermarket dial Only I'd know what I had, and that's enough for me.
Sorry for straying off topic.
Regards,
HG.
I like to see not too many news, less is more (nt)
To each,His own !..To me,This is Art !!!
and just the right size too.
Best,
Joe
move away from special editions/versions
Focus on providing good base watches.I think that there is too many variations of a common theme. ie. the pilots watches have so many versions, father & son, Top Gun , St Exupery etc.
Keep it simple
Ditto that.
you wish ;) nt
How about a Black Ceramic Big Pilot.....
...or a Black Ceramic BPP is even better. :-)
Cheers,
SC
Small portugieser
I would really like to see a small portugieser with the base movement of the new chronograph, free sprung, the new automatic winding, reduced hight, steel, dial with gold indices. I would love to see that watch
Forever modest ;-) nt.
I agree with most of your views>>
and would include that tourbillons should not be displayed.
I particularly dislike the open casebacks of the (so called) Vintage Collection. I like the open caseback in the Jubilee Portugieser, though. There is no real rational to this, though.
The Mark XII is a beaufifull watch but for a perfect combination of form and function I would have chosen the Mark 11 or the WWII PIlot Watch.
Btw, I also remove the (removable) lables of everyting, car included. Like you, only I know what I have. It is good to know I am not alone. :))
