    Hello everyone,

I've been lurking your forums for a while now as well as visiting my local boutique (Yorkdale, Toronto) to chat with Gregory (who is a fantastic person!) to try on different pieces. There's something about this brand and its story which is attractive to me on a personal level, and I've finally given in.

I attended the boutique opening at Yorkdale Mall a few months back and tried on the Charles Darwin as well as a few other pieces and I knew right there and then that I needed an IWC. I loved the fit, finish and feel. The watches felt natural on my wrist, and I wanted one!

My first foray into IWC mighy have been my first AD experience as well, but alas it was not, but I hope to soon change that. I instead opted for adopting from an existing owner. And I found my two new pieces shortly after that.

I am happy to say that I have "popped my cherry" with two beautiful amazing pieces, the first, a rarity and beauty, Mark XVII LPP, which I will post a picture of once it completes its long and incredible journey to me, and the second, the bold Pilot's Chronograph Top Gun Miramar.

The ubervirus is real, it has infected me... and taken hold of me. And I like it!

Lastly, I need to give credit to Mr. Mark Fleminger and Jarrod Gill for enabling my new passion for IWC.

I am looking forward to many more incredible experiences and getting to know everyone better.

    Thanks Mark,
I attribute most of the blame for my falling into the ubervirus to you, but I thank you greatly for the enlightenment.

Welcome aboard the über-virus train. It's a very rewarding journey, but it can be a costly one, if the disease is above average viral. Congrats on the first two of many.

    Thanks Bill,
    Great looking piece!
Yes, I have a feeling it will be the start of a long and beautiful relationship (with the watches), not so much my account balance.

Welcome and congrats Brandon! Great choices and obviously Mark and Jarrod are really the wrong guys to talk too (in terms of independence, LOL) ;-)

    Kind regards,

    Bob

    I think you're right!
But I cant stay mad at them too long... I just look at my wrist then thank them both. Mark especially, he's shown me so many wonderful pieces and truly stoked my excitement for the brand.

After an epic 11 week journey, my MKXVII LPP has finally arrived at its new home. With the incredible help of Jarrod, Anthony S, Mark F and a good fellow named Adrian, he's finally on my wrist!

I'm putting together an album chronicling the journey that took the watch from New Zealand to Australia, to Italy, to SIHH and finally home, Toronto and I will be sharing this will everyone.

The Ubervirus is strong and getting stronger...
