    Guys,

Help me here. I'm trying to list the top 10 most sought after vintage IWC ever. Got 8 so far:

    Mk IX
    B-Uhr
Yacht Club 8541 with unusual color dial
    Ingenieur 9386
Aquatimer 812 (particularly the white dial)
    325 – Portuguese
    666 AD – Pink Gold

    Hi,

Obviously not a pocket watch collector.

I would include a ladies Jones!

Subjective, of course, but I'd go with a white gold Yacht Club.

The Porsche Design Aquatimer AMAG 3H made for the German Forces could well be in this top ten.

I had a lot of trouble finding my IW502802 Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar “Le Petit Prince.” A number of dealers advised me at the time that it is one of the most challenging IWCs to source in the aftermarket as they get many requests for it (still) and only 270 were made. Top 10? Hard to know but it was certainly #1 for me :)

    What? No 812 Aquatimer?

I definitely agree with the pg 666. High on my "fantasy list" is a mint pg 666 with black dial...

I fully agree. The most beautiful ever made. And even now very hard to find though it's quite new and quite expensive. I wished I'd have been able to get one when it was on sale.

If you want to include a High Tech vintage and a commercial used model:

    • Ref. 3508, 500.000 A/m (Ex champion in magnetic protection)

    • Ocean BUND (the very last military IWC model)

Not yet vintage, but 5003 has to be in the top 10 for rarity and for being just unusual.

Tilo, you may be in luck. I received a notification a few days ago that there is a new listing for one on Chrono24. This is only the second one I've seen one in the market over the last year (I bought the first). The owner says that the price is negotiable. Good luck!

Depending howe literal you interpret the question, at the present time, the most sought after IWC is the 55mm Heritage Pilot. A limited run of 100 snapped up within days of its announcement which will ensure a lively secondary market. From my point of view, that would watch would not make my list of most desirable. There are many pre-2000 watches that would easily populate the list, particularly if they are in good condition with boxes and papers. They also tend to hold their values very well. I saw a Porsche Design Ocean BUND last week with box, papers, tools and the titanium bracelet still in its plastic packaging having never been attached to the case. That watch would make the list and, sadly, it was reflected in the price.

Maybe, if the watch sells today below the original inflation adjusted retail price, it cannot be considered for inclusion in the list.

In addition to those mentioned before....
Would also add Ref 866 Military black dial and blue dial without date
Polo club (4 versions: silver/black dial with/without date)
    Mark XII Patrouille Suisse
    Mark XI BOAC

A unique model is still missing.

No other PW has features like this.
