Transition Perfection: New Year's Eve 2105 PPC

I hastily took some iPhone photos last night as the transition from 2015 to 2106 was played out on my PPC. You can see that by 30 seconds past midnight all of the day, month, date, and year functions had fully transitioned to Friday, January 1, 2016. The genius of Herr Klaus still amazes me as I watch this event every year. Equally, the genius of the IWC design team impresses me with the pure beauty of the PPC dial.

The movement of the year started about 10 minutes before midnight. I didn't start recording the changeover until 8 minutes before. Sorry for the lower quality iPhone photos, but I didn't have my normal camera gear available.

By 30 seconds past midnight everything snapped into place. WOW and WOW!

The next event to record will be February 29, 2016 arriving and then transitioning to March 1st.

I always enjoy watching your PPC change to the new year, Bill. Happy New Year! Perhaps at some future time I'll have my own to share the transition! It remains my grail IWC!
