Thanks gentlemen. It is on my wrist the whole week, and is basically the equivalent of a grail. I am very very pleased, especially since it is the highlight of the series that brought me to IWC.
@Kelvin - well, my 2 cents on the subject is that a lot of it is just where to hunt, and consistently looking at these places, and keeping an eye out for new places. Doesn't really take too much time (say once a week or every 10 days) after one knows where to look. For platinum pieces one advantage is that they don' fall within the category of 'more / highly sought after pieces' in this market i.e. not yellow/rose/red gold. I have seen many good platinum deals around, but just been never inclined to pull the trigger on them.
That's a wonderful wrist shot Shing! I have seen a few Pt Portuguese Perpetuals for sale too but I really wanted the Pisa so that's what I finally got :-)
Your 5001 Pt oozes class, I am pretty sure it will be a big favorite in your stunning collection.
Kind regards,
Clemens
That is a really beautifull addition to your already impressive collection Shing. Looks really good on the wrist. Wear her in good health.
Norbert
shing... you are my (iwc) HERO!
congrats on another fantastic acquisition - phenomenal find!
regards,
thang
Shing, I guess Clemens was right "dreams do come true". Enjoy.
And oh due to your virus, What's next?? LOL
Kevin
Hey Kevin,
Indeed - dreams do come through. I am still in half-a-daze that I secured it.
As to what's next -- a black (ideally with purplish hue) Santoni for deployant is next up to dress this piece, lol.
Well, as u know I am on the quest for my Great Blue -- was close past few days, but no cigar at the end. Still, patience and persistence I am sure will pay off.
That is a stunner of a watch!
Wear it in good health.
Great watch, and congratulations Shing. I guess TST must be close to heaven for you!!
Thanks Dave, yes TST is admittedly my playground. Look forward to being able to show u around too in the near future. Who knows - with some luck, I will pick up a Pisa ref 5441, or a ref 325 :))
I am definitely looking forward to that day Shing!
