When we think of IWC's titanium Ingenieur, the AMG Ref 3227 and Ref 3725 are usually the first to spring to mind.

There was however a series of earlier titanium Ingenieurs and a link is provided below.

Don't forget to check the model information.

    Cheers from the cellar

    The rare titanium Ingenieurs.....

    How fashion changes...

Another very interesting post, Greg (and Michael's original post).
Some interesting early use of titanium, but 32mm? Nowadays that is small even for a ladies watch; how long before the circle turns and we'll all be craving 32mm again?!
And, to my eyes, the ref. 3361 (leather strap) just looks "wrong".

    Tuesday's Tour of the Archive

Probably the most known titan watches made by IWC belong to the Porsche Design Line(PD-line). Among them the Ocean 500, Ocean 2000 and the military Ocean Bunds, which you can see here.
In 1980, IWC was one of few watch companies which were able to process titanium. This metal is tough to process, much harder than steel or even platinum.
    Regards,
    Adrian.

    30 years since the IWC/Porsche cooperation >

I hope the two compaines agree to an anniversary piece sometime...Like a nice pocket watch. Celebrating with pocket watches from IWC is still a grand idea. All you need to do is look at MF's Turnfest to see this.
