An Interview with Hannes Pantli, on the link below. Great historical perspective of the state of affairs during the "quartz crisis".

    Cheers from the cellar

It was a pleasure and an honor to meet Mr Pantli

at the last collectors' meeting in Geneva. I found out that we had been in the same locations in the 1970s and that it was only though a total absence of serendipity that we never met while he was traveling through Southen Africa on behalf of IWC.

Yes indeed, he is a fine gentlemen and...

very knowledgeable about IWC. He handled part of my first factory tour in 2006.

don't you think we need a Pantli special edition?

I sincerely believe this man needs to be honored for his contribution to IWC. He represents IWC's proud tradition and needs to be honored for this.

    Michael

I totally agree Michael and know the dial for the

job, which is one of a kind, as Herr Pantli.

It should be a kind of Forum watch then

As Mr. Pantli may be well known in the IWC community, he is not for the rest of the world. A nice pocket watch would be very fitting: instead of a Schützenuhr a Forum-Pantli Uhr.

    Kind regards,
