Previously we have looked at the early titanium Ingenieurs and also IWC use of black titanium

The week we look at, "an odd and truly rare bird":

And some more detail from Marco:

    Cheers from the cellar

    Another interesting Tuesday Tour!...

The olive green coating, especially as the color appears in the catalog, is a different variation of which I was unaware. Thanks, Greg!

    Best regards,
    Jim

    Quite audacious

I must say that this is a side of IWC we do not see very often nowadays. I would love to see this kind of metal in the catalogue, for an Ingenieur Chrono or so. But I might not buy it, and a lot of people neither, which is sadly the reason it is not there. But you need some kind of adventurous attitude sometimes, to do something meaningful and very special indeed, or you might become dull and predictable. Certainly if that kind of titanium is very strong, that might be appealing to the techy guys. Maybe that special titanium bezel on the new ceramic Da Vinci Chrono comes close.

    Kind regards,
Paul, wearing predictable rose gold VC Portuguese
