Some more wrist shots of the rose gold chrono classic.
Apologies for the poor quality, the lighting was not optimal and i had a few beers.

To me, this is a great watch --it's on my short list.
But it won't be an immediate candidate for a collectors' forum watch. As a new model, it can't be used until 2014 or, here as a mid-year introduction, possibly until 2015. I am working with IWC on a different model,in a different product line, that I believe you'll really like. And I'm thinking sooner.
The Chrono is a home run! The stainless with grey dial on a brown strap for me!
thanks for all the photos guys, keep them coming.
More photos....
Cheers,

A) It is a great looking watch and it ll be a huge hit.
B) Thank you Michael I am counting on your good taste on this.
Great looking watch.
Looks great, in fact I would be very happy with that.
Awesome watch! It was worth to complain 2 years ago to Herr Baumann in person we needed a Portuguese chronograph with in-house movement :)
Glad to see it this year on one of my best forum friend's wrist.
I like it a little less than ref. 3714 to tell the truth but it's a beauty anyway!
CF III? MF is taking care of it? A winner's coming! Yeah!!!
Thank you IWC for making our hearts beating fast!

At SIHH, one forum member had the guts to ask Georges Kern "when will we see a CF3?" He replied "Michael and I will work it work it out". Some thought he was gracefully dodging the question, but with some audacity I took him up directly on it. He asked me for ideas, and then Herr Kern came up with a watch that the Product Management and Design departments are now working on.
I cannot promise anything until it's all finalized. But getting the endorsement from Herr Kern on a specific model is about as good it gets in IWC world.
Finally, an attractive new IWC that isn't 'Super Sized'.
I might just buy one of these.
Steel, inhouse movement, 42mm and Santoni strap. This is going to be a winner.

Marinus
Well, this new Portuguese Chrono is easily the watch of the year 2013 until now. I seriously thought for a moment: what was the other line presented this year? If there will be a new watch this year, then no Ingenieur, only this new Chrono: did I see it right, steel case, white dial, blue hands and numbers? That would be the super sporty version, great!
Kind regards,
Paul
This is amazing! but now I have a conundrum... was going to get the 3714-45 but now with this.... oh boy...
What is the MSRP on the new Port Chrono Classic silver dial anyway? and I guess the rose gold one as well? I can only imagine it being on par with the 5001 if not more...
They are both now listed in the "Collection" section of the website. It gives you an opportunity to look at all the variations...with the prices!
I really love the new chrono. To my eye, it significantly improves on the 3714 and I'm a big fan of the movement as well. And it just gets better with the 390403 -- white dial with silver hands and numerals plus that fantastic blue second hand. This one definitely goes on the ever-growing list.
Where in the Collection section can I find the MSRPs?
At least for me it just gives contact info for "concierge", or have I missed something?
This differs per country. US should be able to view prices, me in the Netherlands also can't.
