Does anyone recognizes this watch? My late father left it for me and I'd like to know what type of watch it is and what kind of work it might need.

This 40-50 years old piece is automatic and is still in a working condition!

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hi,
your watch looks like a Cal. 89 hand wound classic form the fifties to early sixties. Is it really automatic, that means self winding? If yes then i would expect Automatik to be written on the dial.
Be proud to have a watch like this especially with a history in your family.
Bring it to a good watchmaker, to have a look at the condition of the movement, and to give a slight polish to the case and perhaps add a new crystal. Then take good care of it and give it to the next generation later. The watch will make it for another 50 years easily if you give it a service every now and then.

Hi, it looks like a Ref. 604 with Cal. 89 Handwound.
Every good watchmaker should be able to overhaul the movement and case.
