Unloved Pieces....

Dear Forum,

I wanted to garner opinion on the Big Pilot, Perpetual Calendar, Antoine De
Saint-Exupery (IW503801). I personally think it a beautiful piece, but having
come across many still new (in AD) pieces, I cannot help but wonder if I am
missing something as to why this didn't get completely snapped up. I look to
you my fellow enthusiasts to alay my fears so I go and buy it today!!
collective responsibilty as it were.. Thoughts, Anecdotes, Personal Views all
received with thanks.

I love the Big Pilot St-Exupery editions with the special font. I have a
feeling that the blue Petit Prince dials may be more desireable, however, than
the brown dials. I think the brown dials do not show as well in the renderings
in catalogs and online; you really have to see them in person to appreciate
how beautiful they are. They also are not inexpensive and not limited. A
combination of these factors may have contributed to slower sales, or the
appearance of more product availabltity. Just my guess, but it is a phenomenal
piece - I would be smitten to have it in my collection.
