That is a very special set. As I understood the rose gold black dial watches were limited. I think they all look great here, love that Pilot's watch with that special bezel. Would really be nice to have the whole set.
Kind regards,
Paul
Because of the colour cast, thought these were steel and black dials. Yet again unaware of these and likewise our boutique "lodger" Shing comes up with the goods.
Okay Shing, which one has caught your eye that you might pull the trigger on next week/month.
Just love that RG Portofino White dial or better still the Plat version, but no funds for such a piece at the moment! Oh well. Need to see Shing about these jobs he fills so successfully.
will give u you my opinion at the tail of this discussion Greg :)
This last one was in the same display setting, but I don't think its part of the Jubilee collection, although I think it was also released in 2008.
This is the last pic ! do I hear sighs of relief everywhere ? :)
Greg, re my favourite, its definitely hands down the vintage AT, assuming it feels the way it looks. I think I would find the casing height acceptable, but a lot will ride on the weight. And ... the purchases for a while, sorry :)
Paul - thanks for pointing it out. I realized the mistake after sending off the first post. Both are in rose gold I now believe. I had initially thought the box set was in rose, and the standalone pieces in yellow gold.
Those cream dialed watches are excellent too, I happen to own the simplest looking one, wearing it right now. Shing, you didn't see the rose gold cream dialed VC Pilot's watch? I saw it once in a shop window: it really is a treat, I would love to see a picture of it again under more or less real circumstances.
Kind regards,
Paul
Shing,
With all due respect, do you live in or over the Boutique?? LOL
Excellent photos, thanks for posting.
Regards,
kevin
Paul - no I don't have that. I may have missed it, but will probably get another shot this Friday when a friend comes into town. He's eyeing the new Portofino Chronograph. Will keep u posted.
Kevin - yes it seems that way doesn't it ??? lol. truth be told I was left to run around the boutique for a good 20 min waiting for sales staff to attend to me and my wife - my wife was considering the Portofino Automatic with Milanese mesh bracelet, and the boutique was really full that afternoon. The time I had, together with a rather nifty and trigger-quick sensor on my camera allowed for all these pics to be taken :)
We should all give credit to Shing now that he has gotten his wife interested in IWC. From what he told me, his wife was never into it until she saw and put the Portofino Automatic on her wrist.
Well done mate!
... and to you too for putting that suggestion in my head over our late night conversation last weekend ! thanks KS.
Good suggestion KS ;)
I love that rose gold Inge! I have tried it on a couple of weeks ago and I had a hard time giving it back :D
Mrs Shing had a choice to make, develop an interest in watches or else she would only very occasionally see her dearly beloved, I am convinced he's got a camp bed there and especially since Nad has proved that nourishment is provided! Do they do his laundry though?
Five Richemont watches and other baubles and my AD has provided not even a glass of water! Must make sure he sees this.
Did you already see the VC Ingenieur in cream dial that is a special tribute to Italy ?
