I can't seem to find an IWC watch with the same back as the one I have. The lugs are attached to the back of the case, it's a two piece case instead of three piece. There's no back cover to remove, you can see the details in the pics. Is this an unusual IWC, a rare one or a fake?? I spent hours trying to figure this out and finally landed here. If anybody can tell me what I have I'd sure appreciate it!!! Thanks, Alan.

    Hi, nice watch!

And it looks perfectly correct, a nice example of a watch from the 50ies, possibly a ref 500. Check out the Vintage catalogs.

To open the glass ring is removed (snap fit), the stem is pulled out (also a snap fit) and the movement can be removed. But be careful, it is very easy to scratch the dial when taking off the glass ring.

Oh, and the seconds hand has been broken off, it should have a tail.

    Best regards,

    Henrik

    THANKS Henrik,
I just couldn't find an IWC of this model
With the front loader type of case so I was baffled.
I noticed the second hand but thought it was replaced, being broken hadn't occurred to me...
    Thanks again,
    Alan
