    Hi,

I've come over this timepiece, but know very little about it. Can anyone help
    with any information?

    It's 47/48 mm

    Many thanks,

    /Andy

What do you mean by "I have come over..."?

You should ask yourself the following questions: Is my "source" as trustworthy
and capable of giving/selling me a watch worth several thousand dollars? Is my
"source" as trustworthy and capable of giving/selling me a watch worth several
    pence?

Probably you won't need more information on this piece then.

I've since learned that it's probably a calibre 53 fit in an non-original
case. If the dial is period or not I'm not sure - so it's a marriage watch.

Unfortunately there are many marriage-watches on the market, especially of
famous brands like IWC, Omega and Rolex. Often offered for very high prices,
but you have to keep in mind that they are not original anymore.

I do not judge this, like everything else, it is a matter of individual taste
    and of personal opinion.
