Hi Manuel
The Watch is probably a Ref 2401 Cal 403 but I cannot be sure without seeing
the movement and number. Cal 403 was produced from 1970 to 1974. But I found
it in @cellar's 1974, 1979 and1980 Catalogue.......So it had
a fairly long production.
I see there is a number engraved on the caseback. If you give it here, I might
be able to tell you more.
But seeing as this is a gift from your wife - simply enjoy it :o)
Thanks for your quick response.
I would love to know more about it, simply just to educate myself with the
history behind it.
The number on the back is: 2183173.
I tried to look for the instructions manual to understand is there is any
specifics on how to take care of it better and also to know how many turns I
can wind it. Just to make sure I don't go over the chord.
Thanks again
Great!
When I get hone this evening I will check the case number in the database.
In terms of care, wear and enjoy the watch, but due to its age, it may require
a COR - Clean, Oil, Regulation service.
I would be careful not to get it wet and carefully wind daily until you feel
resistance and the crown stops.
Your Case was made in 1977 and delivered up to 1979.
