    Greetings all,

Since this is IWC forum, i would like to share with you my newest addition to the collection. IWC is certainly one of my favorites, and two years ago when i acquired the 3719 chrono i thought that was it. My grail IWC is here. But, the bug chewed and naturally i had to have another one.

I know that you are pretty familiar with IWC 'vintage' collection. It's not as we like to called it 'rare', but you don't see it very often. The Vintage Aquatimer has been in my mind for a very long time but i always look the other way, mostly because i was considered about it's size (44mm with internal crown). But in reality, it feels fantastic on the wrist. Very low profile, short lug to lug and a fantastic tropic strap make it one of the most comfortable watches i had.

This one will be a keeper.

I will post a few photos, maybe you have seen them on other forums, maybe not. Well, here they are.

Yes, a beautiful watch of a fantastic series. So you are a bit adventurous with straps. I am not into NATO straps, to me they look cheap on such a classy watch. The strap I like most is the ruggedized looking brown leather strap. Not really for a divers watch, but then, I would not dive, and the strap looks great in combination with the watch. Enjoy your beauty!

    Kind regards,
    Paul

I didn't think that A NATO strap would suit this watch but that green one looks pretty good.

Congratulation to you in your "new" vintage.

It is really a looker for this piece and love your pictures too, especially the one with the water droplets.

Hopefully I will get this in a few weeks time and enjoy your wear in good health!

Does anyone knows whether the rubber strap comes in other color?

Lovely VC Aquatimer! Looks great with all your strap choices too. Green NATO matches the lume perfectly.

I see you an Omega Guy too! Like it.

Congrats on your new/vintage purchase! I was with you thru your searching process and thus I know how big deal it is to find one in such a great condition with all the paperwork etc. etc... :) It would be nice to see photos about the sisters together (I mean your 3719 of course).
    Enjoy your new beauty!
    Robert
PS: One shot about another sister :)

Thank you guys, appreciate the comments!

I do like to experiment with straps. The OEM tropic is fantastic, but a good leather and a NATO can work as well, as long as the design of the watch allows it. Since this is a primarily a dive watch, the NATO suits it very good.

    @ Mark
Yes, very much an Omega guy and a Speedy Pro fanatic :)

Thank you Robert. Don't have them yet, but i will snap a few together.

    This one is from yesterday.

Great watch , congratulations and wear it well ! Also really nice pictures, really high standard here. I like the brown (rough?) leather strap combo, can you tell us the brand/OEM ? Thanks.

Welcome to the VC AT Club. When this watch came out - many here stated it was destined to become a classic!

And it's almost there I believe.

I love mine, and I like the NATO strap you have on it too. As I diver, it brings extra security as well.

You have a very nice watch there and more over you have presented it with a set of beautifully color-balanced photographs. Truly amazing being able to shade the watch to fit in every picture. I'm impressed.

And of course, conrgatulations on your Aquatimer!
