Finally, I was suspicious so started looking around at the hospital and it turns out they have those all over the place! How cool is that? Maybe a marketing gig by IWC??

Well spotted - it says "IWC for Mediclinic" - the management company of Dubai City Hospital!

Now THAT'S a wall clock - the first Portuguese one I have seen, excellent spotting and sharing!
Makes those 5 hour emergency room waits a bit more palatable.
Two years ago when I was in hospital the clinic I was temporsrily resident in also had the same "Portuguese like wall clock". I took a photo so will go through my files in due course.
Maybe a whole "top secret" division in Schaffhausen manufacturing timepieces for the medical industry? LoL - after all, it's not the first time IWC build a clock:-)
