Watch Evolution

I own a Pilot TG 388001 ceramic, which i bought approx 2yrs ago, And absolutely love it, My question is what general reasons are there for an updated model? As with the Pilot TG 388007, aesthetically, The only difference i can notice is the chrono second hand, Would this alone be enough to upgrade? Or is there something else?
