Watch Repair

Hello, I recently sent a vintage IWC pocket watch for repair.  Unfortunately, Schaffhausen said there was nothing that can be done to repair my watch as it was too old and they no longer make the parts. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting the watch functional again? I don't have any information on it other than it was a mid to late 1980's pocket watch. My grandfather left it to me and left no paperwork with the watch, however I was able to confirm the authenticity of it by sending it to IWC. I have attached an image of the watch below for any help I can get.
