After 2 attempts at repairs during the first year of ownership, my Big Pilot Rodeo Drive watch still runs 5 minutes fast. What can be done at this point, since it cant be fixed - can it be traded in for a new one or comparable model?

Hello, I am sorry to read that your Big Pilot is running faster as it should.
For sure this can be fixed.
Since it is not possible to know what happened to a watch, the forum is not the place to discuss individual service matters.
But talk to the boutique mananger,if you need any assistance, please ask me by sending me an email.
Well, a tremendous deviation of five minutes could be a magnetic issue.
The data of that watch has no hint to magnetic protection ?!
So, I would try a demagnetiser before another repair service.
Hello, two repairs already?
Please let us know if IWC did the repairs or you had someone local do it.
It is surprising that a time deviation is still problematic for you, should be an easy fix!
I agree with all here. This is not normal, and certainly does not sound like IWC quality service repair.
Watches like this are fine examples of mechanical engineering and of course things can go wrong. But it's highly unlikely that a watch is 2x repaired for the same issue in the 1st year and then runs fast to that extent!
As Nad asks, was this repaired by an authorized IWC repair centre?
Just curious, is that 5 minutes fast per day? And you use the word "still" - has it always run 5 minutes fast?
