Bill's magnificent photo of the Cal 5000 movement prompted me to dig out an old photo which attempts to highlight the gold PS disc. This also gives me an opportunity to put the largest wrist watch movement into context with the significantly larger movement I have recently acquired that powers an 1860s London made regulator.
The regulator is still settling down in its new home. It is running to a couple of seconds a day. The pendulum has a massive lead weight and should be good for a second or so a week. The clock should then become a regulator in the true sense of the word and will become the reference for setting my wristwatches.
