Weekend trip to Zürich and Schaffhausen

I originally posted this on TZ, but was also asked to post it here. I hope you will enjoy it :)

I took a weekend trip to Zürich and Schaffhausen, though I'd share a few pics :)

I can't post the images inline, so it won't appear just the same way. But you can see the pictures, I hope.

This pleasant sign greets you at the airport. Funny!

Zürich was a very nice city, green and clean. The people were all very relaxed and friendly, the atmosphere was great

But I didn''t go to Switzerland for the flowers, but for the

beer

and of course the watches :) Zett Meyer in Bahnhofstrasse had the nicest salesguy ever, we had a long chat. Some places I felt less than welcome, maybe due to my youthful and un-businesslike appearance. But ZM was great.

On Saturday we took the train to Schaffhausen, a cozy town for a cold one and a plate of sausages on the town square.

Zürich og Schaffhausen was well worth a vistit, I'll definitely go back to Switzerland :D

But onwards to the main attraction of Schaffhausen, the IWC headquarters. Their own bus stop!

The museum was stylish and modern, with a lot of design elements we know from IWC boxes etc.

I was asked not to take pictures of the watches directly, sorry. Snapshots of the interior was ok.

There was a lot of info on the brand history, the technology of the movements

and a complete (I believe) stock of the different product lines through the years. Very impressive!

I ended the visit in the IWC store, but did not buy anything :) Great fun, though!

Afterwards we strolled for about an hour by the Rhine to the Rhine Falls, also worth a visit.
