    Hello Forum,
since a while i tried to find information about the IWC calibre 310. It looks that it has nothing in common with the construction of any IWC handwound movement. Is there anybody that could shine a light on this ?

    Hi Forumers,

after some research i am now able to answer the question asked some time ago:

The Cal. 310 is based on the calibre 7010 of Peseux. The movement was
purchased in seperate parts and finished accoprding to IWC standards in the
    factory in Schaffhausen.

Cal. 310 is 23,3mm in diameter and 3.1mm in height.

Only 300 movements of cal. 310 have been produced in 1976.

I assume that IWC has been hit by the Quartz crisis quite hard at that time
and they where in search on a economic way to deliver thinner watches with
    affordable movements.

Thank you for the follow up, very much appreciated. It's always fun to fit
    another piece into the puzzle.
