Yes, but you still have the 60 WR water resistance, witch is fine for casual quick shower or hand wash, but i would keep it away from salt water, swimming or God forbid - snorkling. Not that I'm saying that the seals would not hold, but in my mind, 120 is a little safer than 60m WR

Plus, it has a few grams more of solid Steel, so it can survive a pub fight, anniversary with a wife or a night with a mistress :)

Of course. I was referring to the 'humid environment' and the accidental 'falling off from boat' you mentioned. Certainly the pilot is not meant for more intensive water activities. :)

As I'm informed IWC watches are underrated regarding waterresistance so a 60 m IWC might hold up with a 100 m non-IWC. What's more sealings are practically identical, so the main (only?) difference between a 60 and 120 m rating might be the thickness of the sapphire crystal. I was swimming in the sea a lot with my Fliegerchrono ref. 3706 with no problem at all.
I would rather worry when leakage chances grow by the number of holes in the watch case. So usually a non-chrono might fit better than a chrono. Outside turning bezel is better from the WR point than under-glass, if under-glass I find e. g. the 3719 way of managing the bezel better than the 3768 because of less chance of leakage.
So, if someone does not need a turning bezel, a Fliegerchrono will check all the boxes. (An older model is usually preferable for its normal size I think. Just my two cents of course...

I've spent a wonderful summer vacation on the Adriatic many years ago with my Fliegerchrono ref. 3706 and swam a lot in the sea wearing it. No issues whatsoever. Regular gasket replacement and WR-check and keeping away from pushing the chrono pushers when watch is wet and that's it. Just my two cents of course :) (Just returned from the Adriatic again, now with another watch...)
    Best,
    Robert
