I found this watch in an old collection. I think this one is over 100 years
old. Do you know the model, more details and maybe the history of it? It
would be nice to have some knowledge about it. The chain is maybe not from
this watch.
Hello and welcome. I really would be surprised if this was an IWC.
Please let's see pictures of the movement.
It seems to be one. Its heavy and feels like its high quality material. I also
asked my neighbour, who is a collector of old watches and he said that this is
a real old mechanic pocket watch. He also said this seems to be a real IWC
watch. I try to open it tomorrow.
Last time I openend it, there were 17 points(?) to see. I dont have knowledge
about watch mechanic, but maybe this is a good information.
I'm pretty sure, that is no Swiss IWC (=International Watch Co.), but an US
IWC (=Illinois Watch Co.).
But these are two complete different planets.
