Here in the Netherlands it is warm and humid at the moment, I guess in the rest of the Northern world it is even hotter and sweatier. Under those circumstances, what do you do with your Portuguese watches, in relation to straps or bracelets? I have thought of some alternatives, maybe you like to add your choice or comment.
1) You wear your Portuguese on leather strap no matter what, you renew the strap when necessary.
2) You wear your Portuguese in air conditioned circumstances, like at the office or cool home, so there are no problems.
3) You put another type of strap on your Portuguese, making it sweat resistant: what kind of strap?
4) You put a bracelet on your Portuguese (please, don't yell at me) making it sweat resistant: what kind of bracelet?
5) You don't wear your Portuguese in summertime because of the leather strap, you wait to do so until fall or winter.
For me, it is no. 2. At the office it is cool, and I like my Portuguese watches too much, I want to wear them. At home, not air conditioned, it is OK in the evening. All in all my straps look still fine. When on holiday, under sportier conditions, I don't wear a Portuguese in the morning or the afternoon, this is time for my titanium Ingenieur. At dinner, well, I wear one of my Portuguese watches quite often.
