Aloha all!
I'm wearing my Big Pilot 5003 today at the office and I was just thinking that no one has ever asked me "Is that a real IWC?"
1850 on the left and 5001 on the right plus a visit to the AD to get hopefully two straps but still waiting for the strap for the 5001, and that's after 13 weeks! 3717 for Sunday and maybe Dads watch on Monday at nieces 21st b'day bash for the wrinklies as she describes the older generation! Such disrespect from the youth of today!
Greg, do you really wear two wathces at the time? So do I! :)
I took this habit since six months, more or less, nobody pays attention and I enjoy my watches more. With summer at the door I think I'll get back to the old style but for today, I'll be wearing my most precious IWC together, 5441 on the left and 1832 on the right.
Happy Easter to All of You my friends, no matter the religion or anything else trying to split human being in different "clubs".
Starting the weekend off with this old Tudor 9411/0 Sub..
Thinking tomorrow I'll be back to my trust BP..
At first this watch didn't do much for me, but, wow, it has really grown on me.. She's a beauty :)
Roberto, My wife hates it when I wear two and never with short sleeves, but since I was going to the AD for straps which I ordered in January then I wore both and came away semi happy and semi disappointed! Wearing two has its own drawbacks, I wind up checking how in sync they are as I always hack them to a website, so far the 1850 is running maybe 3 secs slow and the 5001 +10. Life is too short to send them in but the 1850 is probably dry of lube as the Atacam desert is dry of water! A friend's son also wears two but he is autistic and wears his favourite on one hand and the one that shows minutes as 10,20,30 etc he can tell the time as 10.34 quite quickly, otherwise he struggles aged 23 to tell the time.
Greg:
Having a bit of the same problem here in the U.S. Ordered a strap from AD 15 weeks ago and still nothing. I'm hoping IWC will start filling backorders soon on straps? My AD says generally it doesn't take more than 8 weeks for a out of stock strap.
Maybe MF has some insight if this is a world wide issue or some other info that might be of help.
BTW, for the holiday, my 3717 on soft nylon "Top Gun" strap is the timekeeper of choice.
Best,
Andy
Andy, the delayed or missing strap is a Santoni strap.
Hey Greg;
Mine is the St.Exupery 21/18mm Ref.21700 for my 3717. Maybe the Easter Bunny will bring it !
Happy Holiday,
Andy
Sherpa Inge:
Portofino Chrono.
Happy holiday,

I am wearing the Portuguese Automatic. It's a beautiful day here!
Happy Easter,
Clemens
Today, this beauty represents the day very well.
By the way, waiting 13 weeks for a strap?? I think that to be very bad service.
Kind regards,
Paul
Today no IWC but a diver. Tomorrow though, my Portugieser Rattrapante will be on the wrist.
A little St.Ex action.
The first Sunday, after the first FULL MOON, after the first day of spring is Easter. Here is what I wore to church today on Sunday, April 8, 2012. It definitely, is slightly past a full moon.
+1. A rarely seen IWC around these parts.
Spring's on it's way.....
My 3536 close to it's right element.
@SC, your flieger is very impressive, congrats!!
Best regards and Happy Easter.
