So we were just chatting in a little collectors WhatsApp group when the
discussion came up, that watches are often not used for the purpose they were
    made for.
For example many people take of their dive watches even for swimming in the
    ocean.

Please show your watches in their natural habitat. I'll start.

This one has been seen in the wild from time to time (Galapagos 2019).

    Hello dear friemds,

Aquatimer and Oceans simply belong in the water.

And the Ingenieur always goes anyway (here my 3227 after 16 years on the arm).

PS: The first scratch hurt... ;-)

    Cheers,

    Sascha

There's only one watch which was made for the current weather conditons:
    AQUATIMER!

I snorkeled wearing my AT2000 on Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos Islands.
    Great trip and
swiming companion. I learned later it's not a good idea to be swimming with a
shiny bracelt when their are sharks nearby. There were. A school of
hammerheads swam right by us. They were completely uninterested in us.

Ok, the pool is only 1.5 meters deep so not sure if it's called 'diving' but
    it's fun nevertheless :-)

I knew I had to have a picture somewhere of me wearing a Pilots watch in a
    plane..

This was such an awesome event! The power of the plane, the acceleration and
G-forces are something to behold. This took place in September 2012, how time
    flies...

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

The Portuguese line looks stunning but it's a bit more diificult to find
something whar it was made for. A few years ago however I took this shot, with
the Portuguese and nautical navigational instruments.

I am not sure if the Ingenieur watches are made for climbing and alpinism. But
for my ascent to the Matterhorn I absolutely had to wear a watch. So I
decided to bring my 3239 Laureus to the summit.
