This IWC Box is a gift from my Authorized IWC Dealer. I was in last week to pick up my DaVinci Perpetual Calendar Edition Kurt Klaus which just returned from service and a case polish - looks NEW!!

They had an "extra" IWC watch box which was sitting around for a couple years (or longer due to the 'script logo inside') - they asked if I wanted it.

Apparently, someone took delivery of a Platinum IWC Big Pilot Perpetual - and did not like the box, or asked for a different box. There is not a single flaw in this box at all - not sure what the trouble was.

It is a beautiful, white birch or similar grain with satin metal trim on edges and a push-button locking latch with shiny hinges and hardware.

I had the box customized with 4" x 4" wooden sections covered with white leather upholstery.

It's not really that handy or practical because I keep my collection in a larger wooden case in the safe - but this was just a wonderful box I could not let go to waste.

I wonder what other models this box was used for?

    A beautiful box

original product code IWA05863 .....not sure for which watch it was used but certainly must have been something special. Original Internal presentation similar to that of limited edition watch box with accompanying plaque

    Great revamp Richard

an AD is very important and sometimes rewarding.

    I like the way...

you customized it to accommodate several (extraordinary) watches! It pays to have an enduring relationship with one's AD!

    Best regards,

Nad, that is not right! Over the last few years I've built a relationship with my AD - and he does try to keep the IWC passion alive, by giving me bit's and pieces (no real big commercial value) that I appreciate. Wether it's a book (the new Portos' book - after he returend from Geneva 2 weeks ago) or something branded IWC. You need to have a serious talk to them !

The owners at the AD are personal friends >>>

....and I have been buying watches (or sending customers) since my ossession started in 2002.

Except for the occasional discount, NOTHING!!!!!

I've even asked for some discontinued display pieces from several brands, and this was at least 2-3 years ago, and still nothing.

That's OK, my original reply was jokingly posted and I never expected anything, LOL!!!
