    Hi,

Does someone know the value of IWC 1205 (not 6205, it's a typo, I couldn't change the title) with cal.401? See a picture of my watch below.

As Cromagnon Man rightly indicated, most of the 1205 models have indexes as markers. Mine has a combination of indexes and arabic numbers (3,6 and 9). This seems to be a rare model.

I'd like to know its value after restoration (the movement will be checked, case slightly polished, dial and all markers and numbers cleaned (not painted) and wristband replaced)?

    Thanks

    Pierre

Forum rules generally prohibit discussing pricing. There are exceptions sometimes on vintage pieces. Someone, may reply. The Moderator may respond to you if you email him directly.

As Bill stated, we don't have price discussions on the forum. The exception is for vintage pieces. But there it is not always easy to put a "number" on a watch. The value is what another one wants to pay for it.
When browsing some auction sites and specialized sites on vintage watches, you could put the value of this watch between 2000 and 3000 Euro when in good condition.
I hope this gives you an idea.

Even when it is not allowed to discuss prices of watches here in the forum, I have to reply here...

When you get 1000 for it you have to be happy, the "wished" prices on Auction sites for vintage IWC- Watches are sometimes ridiculous.
The prices of real deals, mainly for pocket watches are most time much lower.... (This is not an offer to buy it)

    Hello all,
i conclude, on watch77, the condition of the dial is the problem. If you get 1000 be happy.
