    I usually have a pocket watch on my desk and I thought I would see whether a
    Leica M could be used in macro photography. The answer is probably.

    I am not a fan of display backs unless the movement warrants attention. In
    this case, I think it does.

    And the front ...

    For those who need numbers, it's a 5510.

    I am using M-Mount lenses, not on a Leica, but on system cams with helicoid
    adaptors, because those tiny M-Mount lenses are very suitable for macros and
    cropping. This one with an Voigtlaender VM 1.2/40 lens & helicoid.

    Great shots of beautiful watches! It certainly does not hurt to have such
    great models to photograph, but the talent to do so shows.

    The flattest - and rarest modern IWC cal. is this and I think this is one of
    very rare photos.

    I agree and will add: when display back does not diminish the essential
    quality of the watch.
