Beautiful picture! We have to wait for a while here. Snow is predicted but until now it's not snowing yet.
Kind regards,
Clemens
The Deep Two not in but on some very cold water, also known as ice:
It is so happy to be close to its natural habitat that it even sparkles :-)
Here you go ...
Hmm, in some parts of the Netherlands they had 6 inches of snow. We just had a tiny bit as you can see in this picture.
Kind regards,
Clemens
Wow, great photo !
Okay, I'll take on the challenge. Each year I head to Zermatt for a ski holiday. The IWC's that make the trip with me over time have been my 3327, AT200, and my BP 5002. All have been in the elements, but I have to say the 3227 is almost always the one on my wrist while skiing. It is one tough watch able to take the bumps better than me.
First take a look at the scenery in Zermatt. This is the ride up to the Klein Matterhorn. Yes, I do ski down from there, but the runs are on a glacier on the back side of this view.
The 3227 is my mainstay as I noted:
The AT 2000 make the trip a couple of times too...
It also is with me for a wee snack after skiing...have to love Swiss Raclette.
One day, at the bottom of a lift, this IWC AT ad caught my eye.
Lastly, my 5002 is in the snow albeit for a gentle walk through the woods, not for skiing down the slopes.
So, snow and IWC's go together quite nicely for me.
Hi Everyone,
Coming back to work in Africa I was received by the harsh rain season at its worse...
So, unfortunately here no beautiful clean photos of IWCs in snow, but I'll share with you a bit of flooding and mud.
The AT Chrono proved an adequate choice to go around...!
Fortunately things are much better today.
Cheers!
Whoa! That's a harsh country for cars and watches, take care Jeronimo!
Kind regards,
Clemens
Indeed it is and I will take care, thank you Clemens.
Cheers!
Thank you, Jeronimo. Very impressive pics! Your SUV is in his element, no city curbs needed. ;)
It was a bit dryer on your continent on my last visit in 2011
outside, but not inside :)
Cheers!
Hi Hajo,
Great shot of the Doppel!
And that is exactly how it feels good, dry outside, drinks inside!
Cheers!
Slashdot - great thread. This has been on my mind and after my most recent trip (indulgence) and I'd love to own an IWC that I could take skiing with me.
Bill B - I think I remember you saying you took your 3327 skiing in another thread with the line "it can take the knocks" and it stuck with me. Great endorsement! That said, I also like the white on white AT2000 for the snow.
The Swiss Raclette looks like perfect fare for the snow too. I had schweinehaxen once at St Anton and have been on a mission to find a comparable meal ever since.
