This past week was an interesting one for me, a crazed IWC nut. And this coming week promises even more special IWC fun.
OK, I'll do an Andrew here:
    - I was able to locate something vintage IWC that I've wanted for years, and Andrew was able to nail down the deal for me.
    - Another incoming IWC... I'll blame Andrew this time (also Shing and Kevin).
This coming weekend will be some serious IWC talk when Terry Russell and Larry Seiden and I get together- who knows what might happen then.

The upcoming weekend will be reported on in some small way after it happens. But what are your guesses for the first two?

hmmm...seems to be a vintage, and a recent model, so...

    a) the vintage: the first Patrouille Suisse edition, in full display set and accessories as presented to the pilots ??????

    b) the recent: what else but the ref 3717-14, in sandblasted steel !!!

looking forward to it, and have a blast this coming weekend - there is a Singapore GTG too and these two weeks has been a high-watch-activity-alert (I call it a high Watch Signal, ala HK's Typhoon Signal, lol) -- but not for myself, only helping out others :)

Sounds like a grand time will be had by all especially with Terry along for the entertainment. As to the IWC, I haven't a clue, but maybe something in the vintage Mark Xx series?

No idea on the vintage, but sounds like Swiiss Air Force on the second. Have fun at your GTG.

That sounds great Nelson. I also guess it will be a Patrouille Suisse that is plotting it's course to you headquarters. As for the Vintage, I don't have a clue and will keep an eye on the Forum to see what it will be.

In the meantime, enjoy and keep us posted!

    kind regards,

    Clemens

Nelson, I won't guess on the first but I think the second will look very similar to this:

If I'm right, IMHO you made a great decision. Enjoy both and I know you''l post pictures.

    Enjoy your GTG.

    Kevin

Who to blame? A bit unfair to lay it only at Andrew's feet (but dare say many here could / would point a finger in that same same direction), and of course Larry shoulders some blame, Terry definately...

But why get personal - lets just agree its all down to one single fellow Who carried the strange name of Florentine Ariosto Jones!

Nelson, its clearly a Swiss Patroule - and a great new addition to your collection. Super - cant wait for the reveal. As to the vintage, if Shing had anything to do with it ...I do believe Ive got some idea, but will await paitently for the breaking news.

Sounds like a great GTG - would live to have been there for this one.

Well, as many of you correctly guessed, my Patrouille Swiss arrived today- and I will say this: the only blame should be on me for waiting so long. Wow, this is a great piece, so different. I just love it. Thanks to Andrew, Shing, and Kevin after all! I won't even try to take a better picture than Kevin has already posted here.
Interestingly, no one had had a correct guess on my other acquisition. So I'm still not going to say what it is until I have it in my hands. Sorry guys, but I'm impatient to have it with me, too. After getting the Patrouille on my wrist today, I don't think I deserve any more excitement for a while.
    So until later,
    Nelson
