Why do the IWC straps are so short?

Why the standard straps that use to come qith the Pilots watches are so ahort
(XS). I always have to buy a XL one.

I am very surprised to hear you have had multiple occurances of purchasing IWC
watches that came with XS straps - they are supposed to come on the standard
(medium) length straps unless you specify otherwise when you purchase from an
AD. I would suggest you do request a longer strap at the time of purchase -
most ADs will be able to accomodate you although you may have to wait for the
longer strap if needs to be ordered.

The fact is they only have 3 sizes usually. XXS, XS, XL only.

I always have to ask for the XL . Sometimes they give me as gift.

My AD always asks what size I want.

never have payed extra for a different size strap.

Strap sizes are Standard, XS and XL.

In my experience, all watches are shipped with a standard length strap. I
generally always need an XL strap.

Whether AD or boutique, if you require a different length strap at time of
purchase (assuming you're purchasing new) they will provide one for you at no
charge. Some will even give you a couple week leeway just to make sure the fit
is proper.
