My first look out of the window rather disappointing due to the hazy sky, as I was planning to take the famous 5.7 Km cable car to visit the Big Buddha.

It really is a spectacular ride with the magnificent view all around. I could even see the the Hong Kong International airport , the bay area, south China sea and towards the end the stunning and wonderful Big Buddha.

    Vishal,
Didn't it come in another box?
Or did you got it after a service from IWC?
I recognised the white outer box as one send after IWC service.
Great watch which is a real classic.
    Wear it in good health.
    Cheers

You are absolutely right it came in a IWC box with a limited edition metal placard. If you look closely you will be able to appreciate the same in my third picture. The smaller box was given in addition for travel use - courtesy IWC Hong Kong.

Wow, congratulations Vishal. The Pure Classic is such a beauty! And the pictures of the scenery are wonderful. I had never heard of a cable ride this long. I probably have to get out of Europe more often :-)

    Kind regards,

Hi MK! I can well imagine your dilemma !I also had to think a lot as I had these two in mind.
    i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u395/INDUS10/28d35172.jpg
However I opted for the Pure classic as it not only looked more elegant, but has a rare caliber 62060 developed by Piaget for IWC. This ultra thin movement has a power reserve of approx 60 hours and the watch is a 500 pieces limited edition . Its also very comfortable to wear.

    wonderful pictures!

question: did you get Number 1 out of 500, or does it simply mean, you have one of the 500 that was made?

Thanks George! Its one out of 500 ( 250 with white + 250 with black dial) that were produced by IWC. IWC in recent past has stopped giving individual numbers to there limited edition watches.

thanks for the answer. i think that's a good policy, that way no one person is jealous of a fellow IWC-owner for owning numero uno :)

Congratulations - the pure classic is beautiful. Not quite as beautiful as the subject of your "Nad shot" but still quite nice. :) Seriously, that watch demonstrates the appeal of simplicity. Enjoy.
