As we enter what is traditionally called the Holiday Season, in much of the world, a time that has been marked by the giving and if you are "good" receiving gifts, what is on your wish list?

As some of you know, my holiday came early as the fine staff and management at the IWC NYC Boutique delivered on my request for a Vintage AT.

So what are you wishing for?

Pitures with the brown leather strap coming soon.

Post a picture and share your reasons.

Let's make this simple: a winning ticket for the lottery. We will see from there :-)

Oh, and I was told that the world is going to cease to exist on December 22. In that case, I hope Christmas is early this year!

And now a bit more serious: I already have secured my Christmas present but I will have to be patient for another 68 days...

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

Good topic, Kevin. There are wish lists and then there are wish lists. For example, I could wish for a platinum Minute Repeater but I would be well advised not to hold my breath. On a more reasonable wish list, I would likely put a Yacht Club (black dial) or a SS Spitfire.

In reality, there will be no watch in my Christmas stocking this year (not a complaint - it's been a very good watch year). There will be at least one nice watch accessory but I'll have to wait two months and six days for the unveiling. I would also like a copy of "Engineering Time", though I'm afraid that having it might put our household shipment over the weight limit when we move back to the US. :)

No worries Clemens, the Maya never had any doomsday scenarios other than the usual "bad poop days" that occur at the end of every bactun! That is something our current mythmakers have perpetrated!

My favorite holiday wish would be the announcement of a new Collectors' Forum watch for which there is universal forum excitement. Barring that...it may be time to add the 5001-07 to my 'collection.'

i have a small confession... there is an inbound - one of those pieces that I saw in the Schaffhausen Museum in January that I knew I wanted to get my hands on. It came onto the market, and I was met with some good fortunate, and was well-advised by a fellow forummer. It is in transit, and I hope to receive it soon -- so a bit of an early Xmas present.

but if I had to wish - it would be a wrist version next year of this beauty !

    My wish list:

    --Continuing good health

--Another year of unbelievable accuracy with my Mark XVI pilot

--Patience and fortitude when I have to send it in for its first servicing (although that won't come until 2014 or so).

    Cheers!

Guys it is also my wish but I believe this won't come true at least for the near future. I think we ll have to settle for Zeitwerk for the time being, which is not bad at all.

If IWC does not soon produce a "Wristweber" then one day I am going over the border to Germany to get a Zeitwerk.
