Forgot to address the question " Would IWC ever do this ? " . They might...although it most likely would be a " one-off ". Certainly they would also use a brown coc strap with a wang buckle.
Based just on the dial, I suspect this is a " hand wound " . Bas....do you happen to know if this is lumed ? If not, it might be a deal breaker for me.
Should IWC ever do something comparable, it might need to be added to the new Ingeniuer Collection. I say that because some of the LE racing models recently introduced have busy dials, and this one ranks right up there as being very busy.
