PS BEST REPLICA EVER
WHOA!!!!!
Good eye and a good reminder to always be wary when buying pre-owned.
Sometimes the excitement of the acquisition overtakes caution and common
sense.
indeed,
This might have been the best replica I've encountered so far..
also the price €3.000,- was reasonable.... glad I remembered a GTG with our
Forum moderator Tonny Bertlefoot who said that these numbers are only used in
IWC catalogues..
CHECK IT OUT YOURSELVE.
cheers
Excelent eye! but how did you realised its the catalouge number? Is there a
place where you can double check serial numbers?
EDIT: Ok, got it now, when I zoomed in to the serial number and acutally read
it. =)
Good Catch Bas
Besides The serial number, there are several other tells as well. The strap on
this one is bad. A real genuine fake!
Buyer Beware!!!!
Hi,
do you have a photo of the dial?
if you do not mind, who was selling it?
cheers
here is the
front..
I could not see any diffference with the IWC Aquatimer Chronograph Edition
Expedition Jacques-Yves Cousteau.. and I know my AT's (!)
I can not reveill the seller (because he does not like me very much anymore..)
cheers.
Thanks
so the only thing that you could find was the number??
wow
could you tell us at least if it was a private seller or a shop? Did it have
box and papers?
just as a warning for the rest of us
cheers
Example of a genuine AT strap
Good eye Bas! Here's the real deal - notice that the pushers are different as
well:
yup,
buy the seller then the watch is the best thing to do..
Remember, the old saying "buy the Seller not the Watch"
you want to check the seller and his Reference out 101x before transacting!
But the number is the same...
am I missing something?
Just in case you're NOT kidding: IWC uses a fake serial number on their cases
for photos. Forgers frequently use serial numbers they find in photos, which
in this case happened to be IWC's photo of a watch with a fake serial number.
Read the number out loud and see if it clicks...
If you were kidding, then...HA!
:) :) :)
