This one's definitely a huge WOW!
LaFS - Love at First Sight.
Bold and playful design. I like it very much, although I'm not sure it would get much actual wrist time from me. Maybe a bit too bold for most occasions.
The watch is without doubt a beauty, but I am not sure about the design of the rotor. One of the biggest advantages of this new caliber over its predecessor is a better view on the mechanics due to a slimmer rotor. This was now replaced with this rather fully sized rotor in the form of the Little Prince on his asteroid. If I could chose, I loved to see the clockwork instead of the little prince. But this is just my personal $ 0.02 - the front view of the watch is simply spectacular, as is the strap!
Oho, now thats an interesting wow. Need to see/wear in flesh asap.
Cheers Chris
Interesting thing to see is that, I believe for the first time? , IWC is using non-alligator Santoni straps.
The watch itself looks great, although I am not sure if an annual calander on a Pilots watch really works. Have to see it in person to really give my take on that. Personally, I am not a big fan of the gold on blue combination. Would look better with a steel case I think.
I don't think this is a Santoni, looks like the CF3 strap which is a very good one btw. But who knows these days....
Hi Tom
I believe I did read that this is a Santoni strap (also, I have only noticed the orange color underside of the strap to be on Santoni straps). It looks like IWC is using Santoni more and more.
