So, the story goes...
Yesterday was the end of May--and I was told was the last day before IWC raises its prices in Hong Kong (not sure about other countries).
So, I took a colleague (who was in the market for either an IWC or a JLC) to visit my favorite AD.
My favorite salesman greeted us and served us... but my colleague didn't make up his mind.
As for me... I was really just tagging along...
...and since I already own an older titanium aquatimer, I didn't think much of the newer ones (I thought they looked rather hedious at first... pardon me)...
So... I totally let my guard down...
and... while my friend was trying some other IWCs, I accidentally put on this one...
...hrmm... wow... it does look very smart! suddenly I fell in love (again) with it! Not to mention its price was rather attractive...
So... while my friend walked out empty-handed... I... couldn't resist the temptation...
here it is... my latest, rather basic, aquatimer 2000. I think I will swing by the boutique to get a rubber strap for it next week... hrmm...

(moral of the story? Don't ever, ever take your friend to visit your favorite AD until you are absolutely ready for another watch!)
:-)
