A watch where it belongs. Hope you enjoy your holidays as much as I do!

Tilo, indeed 100% the right setting for the handsome piece.
When it first came out it had little appeal to me...then, it slowly started growing on me....
Now, I really think it's a great watch!
always good to see watches in their true habitat... not sure the last time i saw an iwc pilot watch shot up in the air in the cockpit of a plane!

Mark, thanks for your comments. Some things take time. All the IWCs I had and have were like this.
For me it was the same with this watch. After comparing and buying and selling another piece inbetween I finally made my ultimate watch step just before the holiday season and couldn't be happier.
love the ref 3902 !
Hi Tilo,
Congratulations on your Yacht Club and on the setting - its just perfect!
Great watch and great shot Tilo! May I ask what boat you sail and where you sail most?
For sailing, I use my Aquatimer Split Minute and I sail a Hurley 22 from 1978. The local lake is just a bit too small for my taste and I hope to go to the IJsselmeer for a few days of sailing maybe somewhere in September.
Kind regards,
Clemens
Greetings from some vintage YCs, Tilo
Your YC chrono is at the place where it belongs to; on your wrist and on board, Congratulations.
Kind regards
Clemens, I must honestly admit that I am unfortunately not a sailor. But I want to learn it. Only two (or three) things missing:
Time (I'm on holidays alone with my boys of 7 and 3 years old), a teacher and perhaps a little money. Perhaps the last would do if the other 2 were alright.
I'm in the Ilawa lake area in the north east of Poland near the Masurian lake area. A beatiful place and lots of wind and water. The Baltic sea isn't too far as well. I'll keep trying so that the watch will one day find its destination.
Thanks Tilo, it looks like a great place for a holiday! My two boys of 6 and 9 don't really like sailing so I usually go by myself. I would really like to go on a longer trip of a few days and hope that I can do that maybe before this autumn.
The boat I sail is from a colleague and we share the maintenance fee. It's a Hurley 22 from 1978 and you can find them in good order for below € 4.000,-.
As for a teacher: as long as you know the priority rules and keep clear from commercial ships, you are fine!
Kind regards,
Clemens
