Today I picked up my third IWC Ingenieur. It all started in 2008 with a 322701 Ingenieur. A friend and I both acquired one. It was his idea to get 2 ingenieurs and to be honest it wasn't love at first sight. After 3 years I can say that the ingenieur is the watch of IWC that I wear most and although I like to swap regularly in my IWC collection, the Ingenieur always stayed. The quality and finish of the watch and steel strap is extremely good. I never get bored looking at it.
This year in March I had the chance to get a 2nd Ingenieur, the 500501 7-days version. I've had a Portugieser 7-days two years ago and after that I always missed the look through back. With the 7-days I got (a little bigger) Ingenieur with the same look through watch case that I missed on all my IWC's after the Portugieser.
Today the trilogy (until now :) haha) is completed with a third Ingenieur the 500508 Zinedine Zidane version. The brown strap and brown watch dial is enchanting. And after seeing it in real life I couldn't resist to add it to the collection.
Will there be more Ingenieurs in the future? Who knows? I'm addicted to the look and feel of this type of watch from IWC, maybe I should seek some help ;P
