I'm actually doing something similar with a Cal. 73 I bought a long time ago. I took the risk because of its 14k gold case, but both my watchmaker at the time and MF told me it would be better to punt on it.

Thanks to a lead for a mainspring from Terry Russell, I found a new watchmaker who says we can make her run again. Stay tuned.
