    Hi guys...

I got a lovely almost new Aquatimer 3719 (I think it looks nicer than current model), two weeks ago and I'm not sure if the power reserve is anywhere near the stated 44 hours.

It's definatley genuine and from a highly reputed US seller. I don't want to be giving them grief and sending it abroad if it's me being an idiot.

I'm very new to mechanical watches as my other one is a battery powered Tag Heuer Kirium F1.

I'm under the impression that automatics can't be overwound right?

It's stopped twice on me now after after approx 24 hours, but keeps great time when it's running.

Does 44 hours include a bit of self winding? Working on computers I don't move half as much as I should!

    Comments and advice greatly appreciated.

Ron --if you wind it sufficiently by hand (at least 40 turns) the watch should operate on its own for around 40 hours without you touching it or it being moved. It sounds like it needs a servicing.

Thanks Michael, I'll do a few tests and let the seller know my findings - it's under guarantee for at least a full year, so I'm covered in this respect.

It was shipped from the USA to the UK so no doubt the courier has played tennis with the box (as usual).

Wouldn't it be nice if couriers were made far more accountable!?
