Having been a fan of the automatic 5001 for many years I have collected quite a few spare parts for it. Now when the 5007 has been introduced I'm curious which old parts would be compatible with the new watch, as I think I have to add it to my collection. Foremost I'm wondering if a dial for a 5001 would be possible to put in a 5007. As far as I can see with my eye, the only difference to the dial is the font used. Thanks for any help!

I have had a 5001 since 2004 and I have never considered collecting spare parts in case of need. I suspect the answer may be on a part by part basis. This is the Collectors' Forum and if you're collecting parts, then why not?

I am curious, Frome, are you a watchmaker and which parts for a 5001 have you managed to collect so far?
